**If you do not make it to the SAG stop prior to closure, a sweeper van will pick you up. This is solely due to safety, Federal Police will be enforcing this rule. Pedal fast and we'll see you at the finish line :)

STARTING CORRALS:
Baja Bike Race features corral staging to facilitate a safe and efficient event experience for all participants at all levels of experience. The first corral will be for pro racers and highly experienced riders To qualify, you must finish the course in 3hrs less. Past Baja Bike Race results, registration projected finish times and results from Athlinks.com will be used to provide qualifying times. Please make sure you visit Athlinks to check your results to verify.

***To qualify for the Clydesdale and Athena classes, men must weigh 200+ lbs and women must weight 150+lbs. Clydesdale and Athena competitors will not be required to weigh in during check-in.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY ENTRY?

We will be awarding top 3 male/females a share of $3000usd.
1st: $750 // 2nd: $500 // 3rd: $250
MECHANICAL SUPPORT
We will have mechanical support on course. Support is provided by Velofix San Diego and TNT Bicicletas.
MEDICAL SUPPORT
There will be medical personnel on course as well as at the start and finish line.
FREE BIKE PARKING
We will provide a secured location to store your bike during the finish line fiesta free of charge.
SAG WAGON
In the case you can't make it through the course, we will be providing a SAG van to pick you up. Remember there is a 6hr cutoff time. All must be off course by cutoff times.
5 AID STATIONS
We will be providing Powerade, Ciel water, energy gels, and other nutritional essential items (Bananas, PB&J sandwiches, fruits etc).
LIVE TRACK TIMING
All riders will have live track timing with their entry. You can link your number to Twitter or Facebook for automatic posts or you can have it send alerts via text message to a loved one. By Meta Deportiva
OFFICIAL RACE SHIRT
You will receive the 2017 limited edition official race t-shirt.
RACE MEDAL
As soon as you cross the finish line we put your medal around your neck because you earned it! *Fun fact: it will always be a bottle opener.
FREE BAG DROP
Want to bring a bag or items to the starting line but don't wanna take it on the ride? No worries, just drop your bags / items at our bag drop and we will make sure they are waiting for you at the finish line!
CELEBRATORY BEER
We want a cold frosty one after a ride so why shouldn't you? So once you cross the finish line we will put a beer in your hands (If you so choose and are over the age of 18).
FINISH LINE FIESTA
The race is now over, time to have fun! We will have local cuisine, wineries, breweries and live music to celebrate your day! Don't forget to buy raffle tickets to support Hope Sports! Grand prize is a bicycle from Bamboo Cycles.

Finish top 3 in your age group category and you will earn yourself a limited edition trophy mug. #bbrmugged
